Request for New Road Drain to be Installed

Reported via desktop in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 13:33, Thu 4 September 2025

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council 4 days, 2 hours, 37 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 8118980.

Submitted as a request for a new road drain to be installed at the edge of School Road in this location.

As can be seen whenever there is heavy rainfall it forms a very large rather deep puddle in this area right along the kerbing with the pavement.

This results in people getting splashed with dirty rainwater regularly (particularly school children during drop-off and pick-up times)

New drains have been installed over the past couple of years in other areas of the parish that have had similar problems.

A new drain here would alliviate the problems of pedestrians being splashed or alternativelty the edge of the road can be dug up and resurfaced with the JCB pothole pro so that is contoured to allow rainfall and surface water to run off into the nearest drain already in situ on School Road
