This issue is still outstanding from July. My car has turned black through the sap, the branches have killed off my lawn and the leaves are not filling up my garden and the road. When will this issue be dealt with?

This tree has been crown lifted. Please see bellow. Council will not prune or remove trees in relation to the following:
• Branches overhanging property boundaries or buildings. • Lack of light • Where a tree is thought be too tall or large or old • Interference with solar panels or satellite, TV, or other media reception Problems associated with pollen • Excreta caused by insects or birds • Obstruction of the view from house windows, gardens, balconies etc • Branches and/or limbs in physical contact with telephone wires • Leaf fall • Fruit fall • Shedding of small twigs. Nor will we remove leaf and branch debris at the base of a tree which serves to protect roots and protects the tree from lawn mowers, strimmers and dogs

The tree has not been crown lifted. Nothing has happened at all the branches are growing into my property killing the tree, bushes and lawn. Am I allowed to cut the offended branches off myself? You are welcome to have them back.

Thank you for your report, We will contact our contractor who was given the work to crown lift the tree and make sure this will be completed, You can cut the branches that overhang your property by common law. You will need to dispose of them yourself. (Common law states you need to offer the trimmed of branches back but the owners but they have the right to refuse them)

I’m genuinely at a loss for words — you've pollarded the wrong tree. The tree I’ve been referring to since June is directly outside my home at No. 43 Princes Avenue, and it remains untouched. It’s the one surrounded by Chapter 8 barriers due to the pavement being lifted by its roots. How could such a clear and well-documented issue be misidentified? I’ve sent numerous photos of the correct tree over the past several months. This situation is beyond frustrating. After five months of repeated communication and avoidable errors, I now feel I have no choice but to escalate this matter by contacting my local councillor and MP. The handling of this issue has been nothing short of exasperating
