Climbing frame removed

Reported via desktop in the Equipment damaged category by Andy Metcalfe-Hull at 19:21, Wed 3 September 2025

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8115587.

The climbing frame was removed by the council today. They have confirmed that there are no plans or funding to replace it.

The contractors didn't even close the park, they just demanded the children left the climbing frame immediately and then started angle grinding without waiting for people to gather their things and leave. Children were literally watching and crying.

What an absolute joke Bristol Council.

Do not close this as resolved, like my previous entry. The issue is not resolved until the climbing frame has been replaced.

  • The replacement of the climber will form part of a larger project to upgrade the park. This was agreed by the Area Committee in November 2025. We are liaising with the Councillors to develop a programme for this project. There has been £105,000.00 allocated for this project.
