Dangerous ramp across northbound carriageway of A24

Reported via desktop in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 14:09, Wed 3 September 2025

Sent to West Sussex County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8113735.

There is a ramp all across the northbound carriageway of the A24 as it bypasses Southwater. At the location of the ramp, cars are travelling fast and will undoubtedly result in damage to vehicles. As cars become familiar to the dangerous ramp, some may be tempted to slow down or brake suddenly, thereby putting other road users in danger.

Updates

  • Last time I drove down this road the dangerous ramp still had not been fixed. Cars on a fast dual carriageway are slowing down and pulling out into the outside lane where the ramp is not as bad. This is disgraceful! It is only a matter of time before this dangerous ramp causes a serious accident.
