Similar problems have been reported for other trees along this stretch of the High Street. The growth is obstructing vision for pedestrians who wish to cross the road from the cafe to the Post Office which may include mothers with young children in pushchairs. In the event of an accident this report of the problem may be discloseable in any personal injury claim leading to public liability for the Highway Authority if not promptly actioned.

Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, the defect meets the requirement for a Priority 4 repair. We will schedule a repair to be completed within 26 weeks. Our current average response time for a Priority 4 repair is 59 days.
