Very fierce drop down from either direction and cars are getting damaged from hitting the road surface inc at slow speeds
Reported via mobile in the Other Road Issues category anonymously at 16:22, Mon 1 September 2025
Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8104184.
It’s been there for quite some time and all visitors and nieghbours complain about it and is very difficult to mention to every visitor coming down this road to mind the bump. Even if you do tell them they still manage scrap front or bottom of cars or vans.

A couple of white spray marks have been put in place, so maybe some work will be carried out soon. No mention of when though, as we would need to know as it’s the only way in and out of the lane

Still no progress on this Just the same white spray marks Underside of daughter’s new car is a little more scratched up on the underside of front bumper. Not sure if I can claim damages to this from the council, like you would do for a damaged wheel on a pothole. Any advise on this would be appreciated.

Had to do a slight repair myself due to a family visitor twisting ankle when walking from station to family get together. Not the best but all I could do with limited knowledge I had to use tarmac and a shovel

I see the guys come out a few days ago to remark where they were going to dig out and put in new slop so it would not be such a drop down and they seemed to have missed there white spray marks by about 3 ft each side. So it looks nice now but still has the steep ditch like effect when driving over it They said the lane would be closed all day to do the work on the Friday and were gone by lunch as they only really done half of the job. I’m sure you would agree that the white lines were spayed in place to then give a better slope as we enter and exit the lane.

Hi again Just to let you know that the half a job done is not going to last, as already we have cars and vans hitting the ramp/drop down you created when half fixing the problem. This needs to be looked at and fixed professionally before it gets to the point of dangerous again soon.
