Red cross painted on roundabout
Reported via desktop in the Environmental Services category anonymously at 07:12, Mon 1 September 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Bromley Council 2 days, 23 hours, 52 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 8100387.
This is part of operation raise the flag which is a campaign of intimidation being rolled out across the country under the pretence of 'patriotism'. It is based on racist anti-immigration ideology and should be treated as a hate crime and dealt with urgently. Petts Wood is traditionally a place of safety and refuge and should be maintained as such. The longer this graffiti is left here the more emboldened the culprits will become.

The Council is removing paint from the highway, including on mini roundabouts and the like on a priority basis, with potential offensive wording being removed as a priority. The Council is compiling a list of flag locations, with flags where there are safety concerns being prioritised for removal
