Range fencing needs repairing corner of Catsash Rd and Rosecroft Drive.

Sent to Newport Council less than a minute later

The ranch fencing on the corner of Catsash Road and Rosecroft Drive, requires attention. The fencing on the Catsash side is down and just laying between the existing fencing and shrubs for almost a year. I seen a child running down the road and straight on to the grass luckily someone caught her before she ran across the grass and fell into the water. Surely this is a health & safety issue.

  • The ranch fencing that had fallen down has been put back however the ranch fencing missing from the Rosecroft Drive side has not been replaced. This is a dangerous situation. With the summer coming hopefully soon and children playing outside a potentialmajor injury could take place.

  • The immediate problem was fixed in that temporary barriers have been put up on the Catsash Road but just around the corner on the Rosecroft side it is still open where the ranch fencing has been missing for the five years that I have been living in Rosecroft Drive. I have since made a further complaint regarding the state of the grass areas/overgrown shrubs, trees etc on Rosecroft Drive. Why has this not been attended to. Its like living in a forest. I am ashamed to have visitors to my house.
