Tree in River Pool behind Sainsbury Lower Sydenham

A sycamore tree which was growing on the side of the river pool has fallen over into the river and reduced the river flow. see attached photos. About 150 metres south from this tree a large branch from a willow tree has also fallen in the river been like that for 6 or 7 weeks.

  • This tree is still exactly as it was on the 27th August 2025 ie still lying in the river cause an obstruction to the river flow, walked past today at 14:15.
