Sent to Glasgow City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8076651.
Amazing that we pay more every year for council tax but get less in return. This path at the rear of numbers 1,3,5,7 Nelson Place is in no fit state for anyone to be walking over. Chunks of the path missing, broken up and bumpy. This all stems from the ridiculous height of the trees, and their roots pushing through the pavement. It’s amazing to me that the council are so reactive rather than proactive, as I guarantee if someone tripped and had an injury it would be rectified, why not just fix it before that happens? And the same for those god awful trees, hanging over properties and telephone lines- again, nothing can be done about the trees as they are ‘not diseased’ maybe when one falls through this whole block of houses we will see them trimmed back and maintained? Would that constitute disease? Crazy that we wait on things going wrong before actually rectifying them. This path needs looked at urgently, this street is largely occupied by elderly people, those that tend to be likely to have a trip or fall, making them walk on a surface similar to the moon isn’t acceptable.
