Horrendous loud noise due to uneveness of road surface

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8071610.

Areas of the carriageway are uneven causing excessive noise when large vehicle travel through village. Causing cracks in house due to excessive vibrations. Undulating and uneven road along the A508 through the whole village. Please resurface and recitify.

  • Investigation: Completed (No Action Necessary) - There are no current plans for resurfacing on Harborough Road in Maidwell and no safety defects which require attention. Our Highway Maintenance Plan covers structural issues like potholes, but not noise or vibration from traffic or uneven surfaces. These problems can have multiple causes, and homeowners may need to arrange an independent survey to assess any property impact.
