Council representative arrived and erected traffic cones and cordon tape around the immediate area, i.e. car and fallen branch across the footpath.
As the tree already had a Notice of Tree Felling, dated 2nd July 2025, appended to it, it still presents a risk to the public. The cordon should therefore be extended until a tree surgeon has assessed/removed the tree.
Tree number 202274. 'Fungal decay brackets on main stem. Tree in significant decline.'
Windy weather forecast from Wednesday27th August 2025, which may further exacerbate the issue, not that wind was a factor in the incident today, as the weather has been warm, dry, and not windy.
