Excess speed

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 13:52, Mon 11 April 2016

Sent to Norfolk County Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 806557.

There is in force at this location, a 30 miles per hour speed limit. 30 miles per hour is too high. Even if a motorist was to state that they were no breaking the speed limit, to travel at 30 miles per hour is too fast. The road at this location becomes a slight downward hill into the village. Hazards include the entrance to the Queens Head public house, the junction with Back Lane, houses in close proximity of the road, driveways whose views are obscured by vehicles parked on the road. For some unknown reason, this village seems to experience very high levels of through traffic considering that we are not a through route. I suggest that either a 20 mph limit be introduced or preferably traffic calming measures be installed approx 50 feet east of the entrance to the pub car park to keep the speed of through traffic down.
