Post or sign leaning slightly (less than 20 degrees) problem
Reported in the Post or sign leaning slightly (less than 20 degrees) category by Gloucestershire County Council at 13:22, Fri 15 August 2025
FixMyStreet ref: 8041718.
Dear Gloucestershire Highways, I’m writing to raise a safety concern about the recently installed speed camera sign near the exit from Painswick Rugby Club and my property. The current position of the sign makes it very difficult to see clearly when pulling out, as it obstructs the view of oncoming traffic. This creates a real safety risk for vehicles leaving both the club and my driveway. Could you please review the placement of the sign and consider repositioning it to improve visibility for drivers while still serving its intended purpose? I’d be happy to meet on-site to point out the issue in person if that would be helpful.
This report has now been passed to the Highways team for assessment.
If repair work is required, it will either be classed as urgent or will be put into a planned programme of works to ensure it is repaired as efficiently as possible.
In some cases a temporary repair will be needed, to make the area safe, then engineers will return to make a permanent repair.
An update on the issue will be provided.
