MIssing Road Name sign

Reported via desktop in the Street nameplate damage category by Bruce Clarke at 19:59, Thu 14 August 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8027307.

There used toi be a road name sighn here showing 'Hill View' and relating to the adjacent houses on High Street and Priston Lane. The sign has gone missing, possibly stolen, when the wall it was fixed to was taken down. We have previously requested a replacement sign, but none has been forthcoming. Please may we have a sign to indicate Hill View. Many thanks Bruce Clarke, Priston Parish Council Chair

  • This sign has not yet been replaced and it is causing inconvenience to the residents. NHS workers trying to find an address on this street are having to ask where it is. This will possibly lead to patients missing treatment at home. The location of a recent traffic accident on the junction with High Street could not be accurately specified to the emergency services. I note that 2/3 of street name sign problems are fixed within 3 to 4 weeks, this sign has been missing for many months. Bruce Clarke
