Tree preservation order required

I would like to request Liverpool City Council issue tree preservation orders for the trees located in an area of land to the south of 6 and 8 Bowden Road. . This plot of land is currently land locked between a number of other plots of land, notably 6a, 6 and 8 Bowden Road to the north, Garston Adventure Playground to the west, the allotments to the east and the rail line to the south. The area of land has been unused for a considerable period of time and as such contains natural vegetation including a large number of mature deciduous trees. The area is a significant green space in the local area, and natural habitat for flora and fauna. It is also acts a natural barrier with the rail line, improving the natural landscape and reducing noise from trains. The trees in this area also add to the character of the local area as a visual amenity providing much needed greenery in an urban environment.

My concern is that this plot of land has recently been purchased and it is their intention to clear the land in the near future, which includes cutting down all the trees. You may well be aware that the individual purchased another plot of land on Bowden Road (6a), which was also unused and contained a number of mature trees and did exactly the same with this land. Although planning permission has been refused for their development it is now too late to save any of the trees.

The plot of land in question is of considerable more value in terms of its natural vegetation and contains significantly more mature trees. I do not want the same thing to be repeated, as once the trees are gone they are gone for ever. I would request that a tree survey be carried out on the land as soon as possible, so that the true value of this area can be formally documented in order for tree preservation orders to be issued.
