Serious congestions issues

This is regarding the unacceptable traffic congestion in our area TS39AP (cargo fleet lane off pallister avenue), which has worsened considerably since the construction of the recent 180-home housing estate.

A complaint was previously submitted directly to the Council and to the local Mayor. Neither resulted in any meaningful action or even a clear plan to address the problem. This lack of response is wholly unacceptable and leaves residents feeling ignored and abandoned.

The situation is now intolerable. The existing road network was already stretched, yet all of the additional traffic from this new estate is being funnelled through the same limited access points. This has created daily gridlock, increased pollution, and heightened road safety risks for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians alike.

It is clear that the necessary infrastructure improvements were not put in place before, or even after, approving the development. This is a serious planning oversight that continues to have a direct negative impact on local residents’ quality of life.

As the Council has failed to act, I am now escalating this matter publicly through FixMyStreet so that the wider community is made aware of the issue and the inaction to date. Thank you
