TRAFFIC lIGHTS

On the approach to Junction 3 of the M66 (Pilsworth) on Hollins Brow / Croft Road / Pilsworth Road - The Traffic constantly builds up from around 3pm, causing complete mayhem on a daily basis. The fault I believe lies with the Traffic lights on the M66 junction, as those on that stretch of traffic are not on long enough to allow the Queues to ease. The lights coming off both slip roads are on for 2 long and let to much traffic Through, especially that coming from Junction 2 at Bury, as they just encroach on the Yellow hatching boxes - causing slow moving Traffic from both approaches to the Junction, hence the back up. In My Opinion the lights coming off the Motorway should only allow 6 - 7 vehicles through at a time, and then the traffic lights for both ways on pilsworth road need to allow at at least 20 - 40 vehicles through at a time, to relieve the Build up of traffic. The Infrastructure around that area is not good enough as more and more Units and places of work have been created, but nothing done in respect of the extra traffic this causes.
