Footpath - 24, De Havilland Drive

Hi there,

I am writing about the lamp post on the footpath in front of our property. Unlike other lamp posts which are found at the edge of properties (say between houses), this one is right in the middle of our footpath.

Because we have a good drive way, we find that delivery drives are tending to reverse into our driveway to turn around. But in doing so, they are somehow managing to reverse right into the lamp post. We ourselves have seen atleast 2 such incidences. The lamppost is now damaged and although is not leaning or falling over, we now feel that it is just a matter of time before it gets hit again. We are worried that it will fall over on someone or something (our house or the cars etc).

Can this lamppost please be moved to the edge of the property before something untoward happens. Obviously, there is nothing we can do to stop the delivery guys from reversing into our driveway. They obviously don't ask our permission.

I spoke to one of your colleagues over the phone and they advised me to raise it as an issue with the footpath so that someone can come over to take a look at the damaged lamp post and its location etc.

Please feel free to get in touch with me before coming over. You can get me on 07985775347.

Sincerely, Boraiah Nataraj
