Large Deep Pothole / Rut by Drain

Reporting this defect once again.

There is a large deep pothole / rut just below a road drain on the downhill section of Fosters Booth Road.

The pothole/rut is so deep that the old concrete road surface is showing through, additionally the pothole has rough jaggered edges.

Other potholes of similar size and depth at the edge of the road in this area have recently been marked out for upcoming repairs.

Please can this pothole/rut be marked out as a defect and added to the job sheet for the parch / resurfacing repairs to be carried out.

  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, the defect meets the requirement for a Priority 4 repair. We will schedule a repair to be completed within 26 weeks. Our current average response time for a Priority 4 repair is 59 days.
