Very Overgrown Tree with Overhanging Branches
Reported via desktop in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 16:22, Fri 8 August 2025
Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7999283.
There is a very overgrown tree with branches overhanging low onto School Road.
The double decker bus that serves route 87 is always hitting the overhanging branches making a very loud noise and I suspect it won't be long before the cause damage to the bus.
Tree needs pruning and reshaping.

Hi the 14 day period following correspondence to the private landowner has now passed and I can confirm that the overgrown and overhanging tree branches, overgrown hedgerow and vegetation all remain with no action having being taken.
Can you confirm when a re-inspection will take place so an inspector can confirm no action has been taken by the landowner so that WNC / WNH can take further steps to enforce action.
Thank You

Hi,
The land owner has already been written to and given a 14 day window to cut back the trees and vegetation and it has not been carried out.
What is the next step of enforcing the overhanging tree and overgrown hedgerow / vegetation to be cut back?

Problem remains!
I saw the number 87 bus yesterday morning at 06:45 clatter the overhanging branches and vegetation.
It is in need of immediate cut back and pruning, undertaken by highways on behalf of the private landowner as they have been unresponsive and the cost can then be invoice to them for recovery or added to their council tax obligation.
