Entrance to Linn Park

Reported via desktop in the Parks/landscapes category anonymously at 11:44, Friday 8 August 2025

Sent to Glasgow City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7997462.

The access to Linn Park by Snuff Mill Bridge at the end of Snuff Mill Road has been closed off for over a year - the blockage now partly vandalised - with access to the riverside path also closed off from the other end within the park. This means that residents with mobility issues - including those in prams and pushchairs who want to use the play space - cannot easily enter the park. I understand there are issues relating to the safety of the bank above the riverside path. However, there is no signage to indicate what is happening or how long this blockage is likely to remain. It is becoming messy, inviting further vandalism and is a daily source of sadness and frustration to those who love the park and its riverside entrance. Can something - apart from just replacing the barriers - be done to allow Cathcart residents to once more enjoy this lovely spot?
