Extreme Limit of car park space
Reported via desktop anonymously at 16:49, Wed 6 August 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Cherwell District Council and Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7988815.
Double yellow lines have come (too far down) up until between 28-30 Lyne road. This leaves 3 parking spaces outside of this area allocated to these houses. 24-32. On top of this, (because we are close to the high street) many non residents and visitors of houses opposite and around us fill up this space and further down the road so us residents have no space to park our cars, resulting in fines for parking on double yellow as there is no other choice. As you can gather, this is extremely frustrating and unfair. To fix this situation, can i suggest: making the road private, for permit holders, no return within an hour or even pushing up the yellow lines as, it's quite far down the road to open up spaces for a couple more cars?. Many Thanks.
