A 75m stretch of the pedestrian /cycling pathway from Marcham Village into Abingdon was improved 2 months ago. Workers left Harris fencing and signs in position to block locals from walking over soft tarmac, but two months later, these barriers are still there. So all pedestrians and cyclists have to go around the fencing and it is dangerous- very busy roundabout.

It was agreed that the developer would put in a temporary solution ahead of the remedial works taking place along the footway/cycleway, to enable the route to be opened back up for public use. This temporary arrangement will consist of red and white water barriers being placed alongside the areas where there is an abrupt level difference along the footway/cycleway route. Additionally, footway/cycleway narrow signs are be placed at either end while this temporary solution is in place.
