Cut through road after speed bumps, meant to be 30mph, people do in excess of 50mph. We need speed bumps like the road next to us, someone is going to get seriously hurt.

Sent to Kent County Council and Thanet District Council 9 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 798373.

Since moving to the road three years ago I have been shocked at how people treat this road. Drivers either leave church street, where there are speed bumps or come over the bridge from the west over road as a cut through. Due to the speed bumps and waiting to get through over the bridge drivers get frustrated and see Nortdown road as an ideal opportunity to put their foot down. It is meant to be 30mph but drivers do in excess of 50mph regularly. Numerous pets have been run over and accidents or close encounters. Even pulling into a space or parking bay is dangerous as drivers get annoyed if you delay their path. Personally, I have been shouted and sworn at for parking. I feel, as do other neighbours, that either a speed restriction or speed bumps are needed before someone is run over and seriously hurt.
