Investigating
No demarcation between path and road
Reported via desktop in the Obstruction (Not Vegetation) category anonymously at 08:22, Tue 5 August 2025
Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7980108.
There is no demarcation between the path and the road so vehicle drivers think it is a laybye type of area which then blocks the path meaning pedestrians have to walk in the road and given cars are in the centre of the road having exited the railway bridge puts pedestrians at more risk. The path does start at the the point where the grass verge starts. Perhaps hatched markings or no parking signs need to be errected to improve safety here.

Investigation: Completed (Defect Found) - We have signage improvements planned in the area of the bridge, as part of this work there are plans to use hatching to guide vehicles away from the edges of the railway bridge, this hatching will extend about 40m beyond the bridge and will protect the entrance to the park. This work is scheduled to take place before the end of the financial year.
