Replaced slabs not matching and now a trip hazard
Reported via iOS in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 18:49, Mon 4 August 2025
Sent to Liverpool City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7978787.
A utility company (gas related) has dug up the pavement to install service to a restaurant under development.
On finishing the job they have replaced the slabs with unsympathetic material (concrete slabs) and not replaced the original stone slabs (presumably broken or removed).
The restoration of the pavement is also substandard and there is now a trip hazard along almost the entire edge of the replacement slabs.
Cannot recall the exact time line but work was undertaken earlier this year and the trip hazard developed recently (spotted a few days ago).

No comms, no action. Nothing from Liverpool City Council. Dreadful service - and the slabs are dropping further making the trip hazard even worse.

Still absolutely nothing. Dreadful service from a clearly failing council.
