Damaged Bollards

Reported via desktop in the Street furniture category anonymously at 15:07, Mon 4 August 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7977525.

The bollards at the traffic calming feature have - once again - been damaged by a vehicle. When the bollards are replaced, they need to be made much more visible to help avoid a repeat.

Alternatively, with now much less traffic on Avonvale Road, is the build-out still necessary?

Updates

  • Can we get rid of the build out now this street has less traffic? Or a speed bump on the side coming from church road? This has happened so many times. I have lived here for three years and it's been driven into 6 times and if you look at Google maps history the damage to the bollards go back to 2016

  • Well done you have put new bollards in, one of which doesn't have reflective tape on. Can't wait for them to be driven into again
