Dangerous severe narrowness of pavement due to overgrowth
Reported via desktop in the Other damage to pavement i.e. cobbles, raised mound/surface category anonymously at 11:07, Mon 4 August 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7975580.
Due to overgrowth, the pavement by Orchard Cottage has been severely reduced to less than 17 inches (see photo No.4).
This is not even single file so pedestrians have to walk on the road especially if they have a dog. It would be impossible for a wheelchair user to use this pavement. This is extremely dangerous and is exacerbated by the road geometry as it is a narrow road and there are many bends.
This is the only pavement through Saintbury - there is no pavement on the other side of the road. The local school children have to use this path to access the school bus, often in the dark in winter.
This issue is exacerbated by no streetlights.
This issue has been getting worse every year. It is now totally unacceptable and dangerous.
