Deep drop on the edge of the road

This unprotected drop has been there for at least 2 years! There are warning signs on the approach and cones on the edge. There are only 2 cones left, and several have fallen into the adjacent field. The fact that the signs and cones are there show that you consider this a dangerous drop, but when I reported this some time ago it was deemed not a problem and the case was closed.
