Grass & Weeds
Reported via mobile in the Causing obstruction to pavement/road category by Cllr Cheryl Agg at 21:50, Sun 3 August 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7973649.
A resident has contacted me about the following. When passing through villages in Worcestershire they are all presentable and welcoming to visitors. This is in contrast to visitors approaching from the Broadway direction. One of the first things they see as they enter Winchcombe is the grass in front of the bungalows on Broadway Road. The grass must be at least 1m high. In previous years the grass has always been cut, as has the grass/weeds on the opposite side of the road (against the fence). Whilst appreciating the constraints on council expenditure sometimes you have to spend money to encourage people to visit/stay/spend.
I live in Riverside where the roads are maintained by the council/highways authority. My complaint is that the weeds are taking over and need removing/weed killer applied.
