Support pole of tree damaged and causing hazard
Reported via mobile in the Tree Vandalised category anonymously at 20:07, Sun 3 August 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7973311.
There are two support poles on the tree outside 26 Greencourt Road. One has been badly damaged and is out of the ground and only hanging on to the tree by the attached rope. The pole is not secure and is liable to swing and hit passing pedestrians or traffic in windy conditions. The pole is also not providing the support it should to the tree and potentially causing damage to the tree’s growth

A month and a half later and this issue has not been resolved. As a result the tree is now impeding on the pavement and it is no longer possible to walk on the pavement next to the tree without hitting your head on the branch. This remains a serious health and safety issue that Bromley council is refusing to deal with despite real risk of injury.
