Overgrown sharp branches preventing safe use of pavement

Reported via mobile in the Rights of way category anonymously at 10:07, Thu 31 July 2025

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7958956.

Every year the owners do not chop back the sharp branches from this hedge meaning walking in the road. I have experienced clothes being scraped and face being scratched where it’s hard to see all the sharp branches as you try to pass. I think it’s deliberate by the owners to prevent people using the pavement outside their house

  • The growth of the very sharp pyracantha bush has accelerated with the weather and is continuing to grow fast. It remains dangerous and can break the skin and cause infection
