Motorised vehicles in Stoke park

Reported via mobile in the Road signage category anonymously at 11:26, Wednesday 30 July 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7953743.

The so called accessible path created on Stoke park is not that - it is being used as an illegal motorbike and e-vehicle highway. There is nightly noise pollution from dirt bikes and altercations between e-scooters going very fast and pedestrians/ dog walkers.

There should be physical preventative measures in place to prevent access for these vehicles before someone is killed. The blood will be on the council’s hands as pedestrians, dogs and and excess of 20mph vehicles do not mix safely. The NKS or similar technology can facilitate wheelchair access whilst also ensuring the general public is safe via the physical measures.

Updates

  • A new enquiry has been raised for this issue.

  • I would also like to second this report. I was almost knocked over whilst walking my dog in one of the fields. The riders are wearing balaclavas and driving at speed around the park on e-bikes, illegal electric scooters and scramblers. It’s intimidating for walkers and cyclists who are using the park as it should be. It’s impossible to report to the police without number plates and descriptions but they go so fast you can’t get this information. Bristol council need to collaborate with local police to find a solution as like the poster above has stated, someone or their dog is going to be killed.
