Each year for many years from 2006 I removed the vine from the fence along the length of fencing on the west side of Dingle Road (opposite Dinglewood Close) which becomes overgrown with Russian vine. For age reasons I no longer deal with the vine myself and it now needs urgent removal to free access along this pavement along a length of about 100 yrds up to and beyond the No3 bus stop as it hinders prams and disabled buggies. Access on the Trym river side of the fence is now blocked by the derelict house(No8?)neighbour who has built a high fence blocking access over the wall to remove cutting the vine on that side of the fence.
Frankly the whole Trym valley is covered with the vine up from the river. and needs a lot of work to deal with the problem

It looks as if someone has cut back about a 30 yds section of vine on the pavement side of the fence just before the bus stop (in the recent past a disabled wheelchair patient has been seen cutting the vine back and the recent cut-back may be his work). However the vine affects the whole pavement beyond the cut section, past the bus stop and round the corner in the direction of Coombe lane. In addition it has climbed up the lamp post in the section opposite Dinglewood Close.
Speedy action should be taken NOT the 6-9 months wit of [previous reports.
