Dropped Kerb
Reported via desktop in the Dangerous road surface (including ice, mud, spillage or debris) category anonymously at 07:31, Fri 25 July 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7929728.
Access to the dropped kerb appears continually blocked by vehicles. This causes me immense issues when I have my elderly mother in her wheelchair, as I require this dropped kerb to cross the road. The vehicles are also parked on double yellow causing a blind spot when exiting top of Ragland Lane. Need regular traffic warden coming around ? Could a couple of bollards be installed to keep the dropped kerb access clear ?

Don't forget to send traffic enforcement wardens on a frequent daily basis. A silver Lexus SUV is illegally parking across the dropped kerb - double yellow lines for hours on end, making this an extremely dangerous corner. Thank you for your help.

Car has been parked here all day, and regularly parks at this location, on yellow lines, blocking the pedestrian dropped kerb, prevent people with disabilities from easily crossing the road. Please take enforcement action to prevent this happening, as has been previously undertaken by Parking Services.

This car has not moved in the last 48hrs, giving BANES ample time to take enforcement action and ticket the car for parking on double yellow lines. People with disabilities or parents with prams CANNOT use the dropped kerb to cross the road. This is unacceptable! TAKE SOME ACTION!

The silver SUV is still parked on double yellow lined blocking the dropped kerb. NO ACTION HAS BEEN TAKEN BY BANES PARKING ENFORCEMENT despite being contacted directly. What is point of even having an Enforcement Team and double yellow lines????

The Silver SUV moved from the double yellow lines and dropped kerb this morning (Hurrah!!)................but then return shortly afterwards and parked in exactly same place (Boo!!!).
This is clearly a local who is treating it as their own personal parking space, knowing that BANES will not take any enforcement action.
You've had a week now to ticket this vehicle and influence people's behaviour. Show us you care about local residents?!

At last, BANES have finally done something - it only took you a week! They have ticketed the vehicle. Lets hope you monitor the location over the next week or so to ensure it doesn't continue!

Dropped kerb blocked again by a silver Lexus SUV, parking on the double yellow lines. This causes real problems with anybody with a disability or parents with prams/push chairs. Enforcement action required - the vehicle needs a parking ticket - you done it before - now do it again!

07:00am 2nd Sept__For 48 hours this Silver Lexus SUV, parked on double yellow, has blocked access to a well used and vital dropped kerb, which causes immense problems for anybody with a disability or parents with prams/push chairs, and also creates a dangerous left turn out from the top of Ragland Lane. Until, as suggested before some strategically placed bollards are installed the dangerous and unsafe situation will remain. The local primary school term starts tomorrow and this SUV is denying mothers and small children a safe visible crossing point across Solsbury Way road.. It is only a matter of time before a serious incident occurs.

This is a real inconvenience to pedestrians. Will BANES Parking Services actually do something?!

3pm 8th September. Dropped kerb completely blocked and unusable due to the usual car parking inconsiderately. Could the double yellow lines be extended a further 5m ? or some permanent deterrent be installed so the dropped kerb is never obstructed ?
