  • This is how they have chosen to ‘repair’ the broken drain!!!!! 😡 I reported this in July 2025. It sat broken till December and then ‘repaired’ by putting a sand bag in the DRAIN and covering it in tarmac!!!! I would not say that is fixed but causing more problems! Disgusting!

  • Does someone have to drown before this issue is fixed It’s a serious health and safety issue . To bypass the blocked broken and bodged gully pedestrians have to step out onto road . There’s no street lighting at night it’s very dangerous . Moreover someone has now tried to channel the surface water off onto the Oxford preservation trust land which is now being turned into a quagmire and renders it increasingly unpleasant for walkers . This I believe was bodged by the gas board during recent major replacement works all along this road . But it was broken before Please repair it you’ve had many months

  • I first reported this in July 2025. I reported the ‘fix’ (fill the existing drain with a sandbag and pour tarmac over it 😡) in December 2025. Someone else also reported it in January 2026 as it was now spewing water everywhere else and made the pavement unusable thus making pedestrians walk in the road. It is now end of February and I am continuing to report it as unfixed! The first two photos are from today and the drain in question. The third photo is how it should look and is a drain further along the road. ‘Investigating’ for over 7 months is pretty poor.
