Rotten Bollards

There are a number of softwood bollards that are reaching the end of their lifespan having rotted at ground level. Some are in danger of collapsing into the highway. Could HCC please undertake a survey of all of the traffic calming bollards on the Old Reading Road and replace with hardwood to put things back into a shipshape and Bristol fashion.

  • 4 white arrows appeared in early August pointing towards the worst of the rotten bollards on 3 separate islands. This raised the hopes and dreams of your humble correspondent. Regrettably those hopes and dreams remain unfulfilled as at today (Friday 17/10/25).
