Dangerous road defect

Reported via desktop in the Street Services category anonymously at 10:27, Thursday 24 July 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bromley Council 2 months, 3 weeks, 6 days, 23 hours, 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 7925725.

The road adjacent to the driveways of 100 / 100a / 100b Elmstead Lane is very dangerous.

After rain, and in the autumn and winter, it collects a lot of mud and debris and becomes very slippy. People have to walk onto a busy road to avoid it.

As the path is used by children commuting to Bullers Wood and Babington House it needs to be fixed to prevent injury or worse.

Updates

  • This does not meet with LBB investigatory levels as the location description appears at this time and no evidence of substantial build-up of debris or mud further to recent heavy rainfall was observed during inspection. This report will be closed for the time being. It would be most helpful if the reporter could take images of mud/water/debris build-up when the opportunity presents and upload them to this report. An officer will be happy to return and re-inspect.
