Pavement blocked
Reported via mobile in the Obstruction on road or pavement category anonymously at 17:23, Wed 23 July 2025
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7923008.
What is going on outside the Pump Rooms on Stall Street, it’s become impossible to walk through. There are barriers outside the pump rooms which seem to expand daily that are not on top of the H-Stop signs.
No work seems to be taking place.

I would also add that the adjacent seats on the entrance to York Street are poorly positioned & cause obstruction for pedestrians. Surely it would be better to position these circular seats behind each other rather than next to each other. When they are being fully used it is difficult to navigate past people & bags covering almost the entire width to the entrance to York Street from the Stall Street entrance.

The columns outside of Holland and Barratt have begun critical failures. They are under tension symptomatic of subsidence. The lower portions are cracked right through vertically and displaced. The issue is potentially rather serious given the tunnels and arches beneath.
