Householder has put obstacles on verge
Reported via mobile in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 14:47, Wed 23 July 2025
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7922083.
Householder has put an increasing number of obstacles on the verge on what is a bit of a blind bend where the road is very narrow. Presumably this is to protect the verge from tyre marks which I have sympathy for but having had a couple of near misses here in the past the addition of large logs makes it even more likely there is going to an accident as there is nowhere for a road user (car, bike, van, etc) to go in the event oncoming traffic doesn’t slow down or give way.

As the home owner,I was strimming the verge outside my property when two cars drove up the verge and nearly run me down, both cars driving far too fast for the area. My thoughts were if there was some form of obstacle on the verge,i might not be killed cutting the grass. Quite simply cars should drive slower around the local vicinity
