Top of rope lane opposite number 3 and 4

Reported via mobile in the Carriageway category anonymously at 20:14, Monday 21 July 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7912667.

Sink hole temporary filled after reporting Saturday as urgent as area sink further since neighbour reporting three days previous. Since filling the area has sunk inwards as per picture compared to yesterday. There is cracks and areas to the right and left of the sink hole that appear vulnerable. My neighbour has had a message to advise this has been resolved but it clearly has not. This sink hole is not safe and is not being maintained as expected by CEC after each action making the carriage way and surrounding areas increasingly vulnerable - there is a further area I understand previously reported to the left of this area at the junction to main road. I am concerned about this being an ice burg issue. Myself and neighbours have found cracks on our interior walls and having difficulty shutting windows which I understand is a pre warning to the sink hole. I would appreciate this to be reviewed and to be sent a copy of the report as evidence of a thorough review. This way I have a chronological record and keep monitoring this for you. In my previous file there was a typo to say this was better when in fact it meant to say it’s getting worse. Your colleagues that came out Saturday advised a full inspection would be completed but instead it’s just been closed
