7.5ton weight limit signs missing
Reported via Android in the Traffic sign category anonymously at 14:04, Monday 21 July 2025
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7910428.
Two 7.5-ton weight limit signs have been missing for years at the end of Sutton Heath Road. Your ongoing failure to replace them, despite this being reported numerous times is utterly unacceptable. It shows either incompetence or sheer indifference. Possibly both.
If it’s National Highways’ responsibility, contact them. If it’s yours (which it likely is, given the location), then stop dragging your feet and replace the signs. Either way, it’s your duty to collaborate and get it done.
The A47 is currently closed for six weeks—there’s no excuse. Now is the perfect time to sort this out. Replace the missing signs at the end of Sutton Heath Road. Clean the existing ones. Remove the piles of litter along the A47 and the disgraceful amount of fly-tipping down the bank of the lay-by at Sutton Heath Road.
But realistically? We all know nothing will happen. As usual. PCC, your inability to manage even basic road maintenance is an embarrassment.
