Litter on pavements
Reported in the Street cleaning category anonymously at 11:39, Fri 18 March 2016
Sent to Gateshead Borough Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 790491.
Kids attending the local school (Thomas Hepburn - from their unifiorm) are covering the area with litter from purchases at shops - to & from school. Also - I can't understand how much litter is being dropped in general in the Felling area. Food wrapping from Greggs bakery and Subway at the new shopping centre in in Felling. Please would it be possible to assign a litter warden to catch people dropping their litter to teach a lesson to them and the public in general? Thanks... David

The area around the Post Office and 'Snack Attack' at High Felling is still littered - there ARE bins around, but kids & adults are simply dropping their litter and walking on - no respect, no care for their community. Can this please be policed by a warden, or could local schools be asked to encourage their pupils to use the bins...? Thanks - I appreciate your efforts.
