The steep banked verge and upper pedestrian footpath on Bridge Street (from Wybunbury Delves School to Tower View)

Reported via desktop in the Grass Cutting category by Cllr Janet Clowes at 18:27, Fri 18 July 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7900207.

Despite a partial cut several weeks ago, the grass weeds on this hedgerow have re-grown (especially in those areas that were not previously dealt with). Nettles and brambles are extending across the footpath and the hedges along the footpath are heavily over growing the path in places. These issues are causing problems for pedestrians using the path but at the foot of the bank, are also obscuring vision for vehicles turning onto Bridge Street (by the school) which is hazardous for other road users and especially pedestrians living on the northern side of Bridge Street who must cross the road to access the staircase to the footpath (there is no footpath on the north side of the road). A full and complete cut is requested (as should have been done previously) together with attention to overgrowth onto the upper path itself. Thank you.
