Poor surface around tar-mac joint in Cae Gwyn Road behind Ararat church

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 22:56, Tue 15 March 2016

Sent to Cardiff Council 4 minutes later

Around the jointed area of the previous re-surfacing, subsidence has occurred. If a cyclist travelling at speed down Cae Gwyn hill took the line of the camoflagued subsidence on the bend he would be launched towards the kirb and head first into Ararat Church wall.

  • As of 13/04/16 this problem hasn't been remedied. On further inspection of the area at lunchtime 13/04/16, I noted that cars were being parked adjacent to the problem surface forcing cyclists to take the dangerous central course.I also noted that on a previous occasion a vehicle, for some unknown reason failed to take this bend properly and demolished a section of Arrarat Church wall. The repair is clearly visible.
