Tree never managed or cut back
Reported via desktop in the Report a tree problem category anonymously at 14:03, Tue 15 July 2025
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7881042.
This tree has never been maintained or cut back. No one knows who is responsible for this tree but it groes into the neighbouring garden and the adjoining parking places either side of the tree. This makes use of the parking places almost unussable. This photo is a bit old from google maps and does not show the full extent of the overgrowth. Can this tree be completely cut down and removed! Please help! Can i please meet an inspector to discuss options. I own the property that uses the 2 parking places adjacent to the tree. 22 Andersons Close.

Thank you for your report. I have visited site and assessed the trees in their location. The trees present are on land not deemed to be part of the publicly maintained highway by OCC in our capacity as local highway authority. The trees present are on land maintainable by an adjacent landowner and not by the County Council. You can access the land registry at: https://www.gov.uk/ search-property-information-land-registry to find details of the adjacent landowner to pursue your enquiry. You are also within your common law rights as a landowner to cut any overhanging vegetation back to the boundary line of your property.
