Do your job please this is council property

Reported via mobile in the Obstruction to Highway category anonymously at 13:15, Mon 14 July 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7873994.

You previously closed a request claiming this was a private road. If you had actually looked at the overgrown plant you would have found this is the council road, before the gates of the private road. The plant has a history of overgrowing every year despite claims it has been treated to poison it. Could you please investigate appropriately and not just dismiss the report as previously.

  • Works have been raised to remove the stump, we have had to poison the stump first to prevent any of the lateral roots from resprouting. Once this has set in the stump will then be fully removed with machinery, this will take several months to complete but will fully remove the stump.

  • Just to update, the stump has been poisoned with the regrowth removed. We will wait until spring to grind the stump out, this will allow the poison to take affect fully killing all roots. Due to the length of time for the stump grind, the FMS will be closed.
