Nearly hit by car due to lane closure cars are turning right into pedestrians crossing street

I was nearly hit by a car today due to insufficient signage at the roadworks at Manchester road/high street in Cheadle. Due to roadworks the lane to turn right is closed. The other lane is left turn but due to no signs saying diversion/no right turn people are turning right into pedestrians crossing (green man is indicated and pedestrians are correct). I have tried to show the issue on the attached map. I am really worried someone will be seriously injured as the car was so close to hitting me and there was a number of cars doing the same thing.
