Pavement areas on York Avenue leading to Nizells and Osbourne Road are extremely hazardous and dangerous. Cracked paving and tree roots have made area lethal. My arm is in plaster due to falling there last week.

The council have replied to my injury claim, they say they are not responsible. Unless the trip hazard is over 50 mm, it is considered non-hazardous. People are continuing to have accidents along that stretch of pavement and some have taken to walking in the road which is dangerous not only to themselves but motorists. What other option do they have until the pavements are fixed? If the council is not responsible then who is? Someone must take responsibility for the state of the pavements.
